Canon Wireless File Transmitter WFT-E2A

picture-2

Last year I worked with a Utah based commercial shooter who was using the Canon Wireless File Transmitter WFT-E2A - this was the first time I had worked with a shooter who has this system.  It worked great.  I asked him why he used it and he said that he gets really tired of art directors wanting to see the back of his camera while he’s shooting.  He said that he experiments a lot and has a lot of imagery he doesn’t want the art directors to see.  So, he uses this system to send files to a remote laptop - and he can choice which images he sends to the laptop so the art directors get to see what they need and he can keep images on his camera he doesn’t want them to see.  Sounded like a good idea to me.  I asked about the transfer speed - it is a little slow if you’re really shooting away, but it’s cool that you can choice the images you want to transfer so if you’re sending only a few at a time it works great.  I would def. recommend this product for anyone shooting a lot in the field.
