The other day a photographer asked me to set up a way that the client could remotely watch our photo shoot from her NYC office. After trying a couple different things we settled on using iChat (Apple software). The problem with this is if the client does not use iChat they may not have a username. This becomes something that you have to walk them through and can become confusing/extra work for them. After upgrading all of my machines to CS4 recently I found the feature called Adobe Connect Now. It is very easy to use and only takes the client a few moments to set up. On your end the easiest way to initiate a session is in Photoshop CS4 under the File Menu > Share Screen. It may be possible to do this without CS4 I just have not tried it yet. Im assuming it would be free as it is hosted thru Acrobat.com. You can choose which apps. you want to share (including your capture software). You can even let the other people in the conference to take control of your screen (you better trust them though because they will have access to all the files on your computer). VNC or virtual network computing has come a long way in the last few years and is definitely not as difficult as it used to be to implement. You could even have a webcam set up above the set and share video with the client within Connect Now or iChat! Just dont do any slacking-
Adobe ConnectNow * What can you do with Adobe ConnectNow?.
