Heres a great preview of the new 3k chip Red Scarlet from the Engadget site. Its intended to be in the price range of prosumer shooters and indie film makers. This type of quality and versatility in this price range could very well revolutionize the technology within the industry. This is exciting in a time where more and more still shooters are getting request for motion as well. These cameras can accept Nikon and Canon glass via an adapter and they can intelligently communicate with the camera (this brings the prices down even more). More info about the RED Scarlet and prices here.
